Corporate Social Responsibility
At Principal, we are committed to the communities and supporting the corporate social responsibilities of the territory in order to help bring about a positive impact in the place where we conduct business. As a responsible corporate citizen in the Hong Kong community, we strive to devote our resources to fulfill our corporate social responsibilities through participation, giving, and various employee and community friendly initiatives.
On 30th July, our volunteer staff supported the education activity “Be A Smart Money Manager” for Primary 2 – 5 students with Hong Kong Family Welfare Society (HKFWS,香港家庭福利會). The activity is aimed at promoting the concept of money management to both the children and their parents through a stimulated board game “Monopoly”. The activity is full of fun and learning that the participants got a lot of takeaways.
Principal continues to be in partnership with Hong Kong Family Welfare Society (HKFWS,香港家庭福利會) for volunteer service. The theme this year is“Financial Literacy”. With our sponsorship, HKFWS has developed a series of activities for different target groups of people throughout the year and on 20th April, our volunteer staff joined the financial education workshop designed for Primary 3 students. The objective of the activity is to promote the concept of money management through experiential learning. Our volunteer staff helped out in managing different booths and facilitating group discussion.
Principal sponsored the “Love Connection Project” of Hong Kong Family Welfare Society (HKFWS). To celebrate the success of the project, HKFWS organized a closing ceremony cum Drawing Competition Award Presentation followed by a funfair for the children from foster caring families on 19th December. In the ceremony, Mr. Rex Auyeung, Chairman – Asia of Principal Financial Group was invited to be the officiating guest to give an opening speech and present the awards to the winners of competition. Thanks to all the participating colleagues and their family members for their support in making the event successful and bringing joy to the children.
